Yamaha R125 MotoGP Edition now gets the same styling as new M1 race-spec MotoGP bike

Yamaha has revealed the MotoGP edition of its R125 in the internation market. The bike now employs some stylidh looking graphics.

The Japanese bike maker Yamaha has finally revealed the MotoGP edition of its R125 bike. These special edition motorcycles are quite popular among the motorcyclists around the world. Every year Yamaha launches the MotoGP edition for the R series models. The Yamaha R125 MotoGP edition gets the same styling theme as the regular model but, it employs some new and stylish graphics. The bike equips the fancy looking Monster logo up front between the headlamps and on the side fairing, the Monster and ENEOS logo give the R125 a sporty look. The motorcycle is painted in the black and blue colour scheme, which looks quite similar to the race-spec Yamaha M1. The R125 MotoGP edition looks like a replica of the MotoGP machine.

The deliveries of the R125 MotoGP edition is expected to begin in the forthcoming weeks. For now, Yamaha has no plans to launch the R125 into the Indian market even though the R125 is already on sale in most of the Asian countries. But we may expect Yamaha to introduce this new MotoGP livery in the R15 Version 3.0. The previous year, Yamaha launched the MotoGP edition of the Yamaha R15 V3.0 in India which gets sold in really good numbers but, the MotoGP edition bike demands a bit premium over the regular R15 V3.0. The design of the Yamaha R125 is inspired by the new R1. The bike looks similar to the R15 the only difference is in dimensions and engine of the bike.

The Yamaha R125 gets dual-headlamps set up along with a new fairing. Moreover, the motorcycle also employs an LED tail light. Long journeys may get a bit uncomfortable due to split seat up in which the pillion seat is placed on the taller side. The bike gets clip-on type handlebar, an aggressive riding posture and rear-set footpegs. The bike gets a fully-digital instrument console which provides all the crucial information about the bike. Powering the Yamaha R125 is a 124.7 cc single cylinder engine which develops 14.8 bhp of power at 9,000 rpm and 12.4 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
