Yamaha is offering free Riding Jacket or Helmet with Every MT-15
A few months back Yamaha launched the MT-15 in India which is the street naked version of the YZF R15 V3.0. The motorcycle carries a price tag of Rs 1,36,000(ex-showroom, Delhi) which is very close to the price of fully-faired R15 V3.0. In the first two months of launch, Yamaha has sold over 9000 units of MT-15 in India. To motivate the new buyers to invest their money in the bike, Yamaha is now offering complementary MT branded riding jacket or helmet with every new purchase of the motorcycle. Moreover, customers who are already owners of MT-15 can also avail this offer. The dealership will contact the MT-15 owners and will inform them about the offer.

The Main reason behind this accessory campaign is to promote MT riding culture in India, said Yamaha. The free accessory campaign is available for a limited period of time. As per the official Yamaha website, this offer will run till 10,000 jackets. Direct rival of the Yamaha MT-15 is the newly launched KTM 125 Duke. The motorcycle is available in two distinctive colour shades, namely Metallic Black and Dark Matt Blue. Mechanically, the bike is powered by a 155cc, Liquid cooled, 4-stroke, a fuel-injected unit which churns out respective power and torque outputs of 19.3 PS at 10000 rpm and 14.7 Nm at 8500 rpm. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The motor is fuel-efficient to provide a mileage of 42 kmpl.

In terms of dimensions, the MT-15 is 2020 mm long, 800 mm wide, 1070 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1335mm. Countering the bad roads is done with the help of a telescopic fork at the front and a swingarm at the rear. Braking duties are done with the help of a hydraulic disc brake at front and rear along with a single-channel ABS. The bike comes loaded with features like Bi functional LED taillight, LED instrument console with gear shift indicator and Assist/Slipper clutch.
