TVS Rockz 125 Spotted Getting Tested In India
Recently, the Indian Autos Blog posted has posted a few images of the upcoming step-through scooter by TVS named as Rockz 125. The test mule was snapped at Krishnagiri Highway, which is around 80 km from the TVS Hosur facility in Tamil Nadu. The details of the scooter are inadequate, but we believe that TVS will not launch the Rockz 125 into the Indian market. Rather, the two-wheeler manufacturer is most likely testing the export-spec trim of the Rockz 125. The step-through scooter is already on sale in the several South-East Asian markets like Indonesia. Talking about the overall looks, the design of the scooter is quite identical to the model, which is already available for sale. To give it a fresh look, TVS gave a few tweaks to the scooter.

For example, the scooter now employs apron-mounted front indicators, which is noticeably distinctive from the existing version. Moreover, the lines and creases on the front apron of the test unit are sharper as compared to the one on the outgoing model. In the spy pictures, the cockpit of the scooter is not visible, but the design cues of the cover emerge to be same that is offered in the current-gen model. Moreover, the side panel along with tail section looks quite the same on both the models. The test variant was also spotted with a luggage rack at the rear.
The test mule employs a drum brake on both the ends, but TVS has listed the scooter with a disc brake on the Indonesian website
The exhaust canister on the test scooter is different on what is offered on the company’s Indonesia website. The ongoing version of TVS Rockz 125 is powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 125 cc motor that produces 9.8 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 9.8 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The transmission duties are done by a 4-speed gearbox. The test mule employs a drum brake on both the ends, but TVS has listed the scooter with a disc brake on the Indonesian website.
