CM of Arunachal Pradesh Spotted On A Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

The Chief Minister of AP, Pema Khandu has been recently spotted riding the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 to promote tourism in the state.

The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu has been recently spotted riding a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 from Yingkiyong (AP) to Pasighat. The Images of Pema Khandu riding the Interceptor 650 surfaced on his Facebook page. The route from Yingkiyong to Pasighat is 122 km long with proper paved roads. His main motto behind the motorcycle ride was to encourage tourism in the state. In his post, he also mentions that this is the best time of the year to visit Arunachal Pradesh.

It is not the first time that the CM of Arunachal Pradesh was snapped on a Royal Enfield. Earlier, he was also spotted riding atop a Royal Enfield Classic 350, which means that Pema Khandu is quite the fanatic about these legendary motorcycles. Pema Khandu is currently the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, but earlier served in the capacity of Minister of Tourism, Urban Development and Water Resources for Nabam Tuki’s government.

Moreover, the braking system consists of disc brakes at the front and rear along with a dual-channel ABS for effective braking. Royal Enfield is also the most affordable twin-cylinder bike in the Indian market. The motorcycle was launched last year along with its Continental GT 650 sibling which is priced at Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom).
