Launch of KTM 390 Adventure may happen in November

KTM 390 Adventure e is expected to launch in Novermber this year. The off-roader will compete against the likes of BMW G 310 GS.

KTM fans are waiting for some new bikes to join the company's current line-up. The motorcycles which are expected to enter into the Indian market are the RC125, 390 Adventure and the 790 Duke. New reports from the Autocar India reveals that the company is planning to launch the 390 Adventure in November this year. We can also expect the KTM 390 Adventure to debut at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show. The 390 Adventure will come alongside the Husqvarna range of bikes in the Indian market. The 390 Adventure will demand a bit premium over the regular 390 Duke. The KTM 390 Adventure will compete against the likes of BMW G 310 GS which costs around Rs 3.49 lakh, once it gets launched.

We can also expect the KTM 390 Adventure to debut at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show. 

Previously test mules of the bikes have been spotted several times getting tested on the Indian roads. The prototype was found with saddlebags, panniers and top-box. Moreover, the motorcycle was spotted with alloy wheels and, we expect to see spoked-wire tyres as optional. The motorcycle will roll on 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels. Moreover, the KTM 390 Adventure will feature full LED lighting (blinkers, tail light and headlamp), trellis frame with bolted sub-frame, and TFT digital display with Bluetooth connectivity to manage incoming calls and music. The bike is also expected to get turn-by-turn navigation system to the TFT display.

Mechanically, the bike will remain the same as the 390 Duke. The new motor will be Euro-V/BS-VI compliant. The motorcycle derives power from a 73.2 cc single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-Valve, liquid-cooled engine which churns out power and torque outputs of 43.5 hp at 9,500 rpm and 35 Nm at 7,250 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox. The launch of the naked 790 Duke has been delayed and, the bike is now expected to launch by 2020. The KTM 790 Duke is expected to come loaded with features like lean-sensitive traction control, cornering ABS, multiple power modes, launch control and even wheelie control.
