KTM 390 Adventure Test Mule Snapped On The Indian Roads Again

The KTM 390 Adventure is snapped on the Indian roads during its final phase of test runs. As the bike is expected to be showcased at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show in Italy.

The Australian bike manufacturer KTM has been snapped testing the 390 Adventure test mule once again. The entry-level ADV is expected to be showcased at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show in Italy. The fresh spy shots exhibit that the KTM 390 Adventure prototype is loaded with panniers along with a top box that will be offered as a part of the official KTM power parts accessories. Moreover, the picture also gives us a glimpse of the colored TFT instrument cluster. The KTM 390 Adventure will get manufactured at the Bajaj’s production facility in Chakan, Pune. Hinting that the motorcycle will carry a competitive price tag for our markets. In comparison to the 390 Duke, the Adventure 390 is expected to be priced around Rs. 2.80 Lacs.

 We expect KTM to showcase its entry-level ADV at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show in Italy. 

The KTM 390 Adventure will compete with the likes of BMW G 310 GS and Kawasaki Versys X-300, which are priced northwards of Rs. 3.00 lacs. Previous spy shots of the bike reveal components like trellis frame with a bolt-on sub-frame, LED headlamp with KTM signature DRL, TFT-LCD display for the instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity option. Moreover, the KTM 390 Adventure will also feature turn-by-turn navigation on the screen. All the prototype versions of the bike spotted in India are seen fitted with alloy wheels, a 19-inch at the front and a 17-inch at the rear. However, the wire-spoke wheels are also expected to be offered through an optional KTM power parts accessory package with the KTM 390 Adventure.

The bike is expected to carry an ex-showroom price between Rs 2.8 lakh and Rs 3.0 lakh.

The KTM 390 Adventure will get powered by the same unit which propels the 390 Duke. In its current state, it draws power from a single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, 373.2cc engine producing 43.5 bhp of power at 9,500 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. But, KTM will tune the gear ratio to offer the 390 Adventure with a better response to suit its genre. Braking duties are expected to be performed by disc brakes at both ends along with a switchable ABS for added safety.
