Ducati Panigale V4 sold for 2019 in India

It's quite surprising but, you heard it right. Ducati Panigale V4 has been sold out in India. The Panigale V4 is Ducati's flagship motorcycle and also one of the most technologically advanced superbikes in the market. The motorcycle gets retailed at a price tag of Rs 22.7 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Moreover, the Panigale V4 also happens to be one of the most successful motorcycles from the manufacturer’s line-up. In the year 2018, Ducati has sold over 53,004 motorcycles worldwide out of which 9,700 units were of the Panigale series (a 70 percent increase from 2017), of which, 6,100 were the Panigale V4. Ducati has acquired 26 percent of the global superbike business which means that one in every four superbikes sold last year was a Ducati Panigale V4. It seems that the bike was equally investigated in India as well.

The Panigale V4 is sold in S, R and Speciale variants. The V4S is easily available at showrooms, while the limited edition Speciale which is limited to 1,500 units and more powerful R is also available. The Ducati Panigale V4S has priced at Rs 26.5 lakh while the Speciale costs Rs 51.8 lakh and the V4R costs 51.87 lakh. Powering the Ducati Panigale V4 is a 1000cc, Liquid Cooled, four-cylinder engine which churns out respective power and torque outputs of 211 bhp at 13,000 rpm and 124 Nm at 10,000 rpm. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike competes against the likes of BMW S1000RR, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, Yamaha YZF-R1, Suzuki GSX-R1000, and the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade in its segment.

The instrument cluster comprises of a 5-inch colour TFT screen which provides all the crucial information about the bike. Moreover, it comes loaded with features like Bosch Cornering ABS, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres, traction control, LED headlight and taillight, Self-cancelling indicators, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Slide Control System (SCS), Engine Brake Control (EBC), Launch Control System (LCS), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS). Suspension duties are done by fully adjustable Showa BPF fork. 43 mm chromed inner tube at the front and fully adjustable Sachs unit. Aluminium single-sided swingarm at the rear.
