The Indian electric scooter manufacturer Arther Energy has announced the extension of the comprehensive warranty of the FAME-I certified 450. The warrant has extended from two years currently to three years. Moreover, earlier this month Arther Energy has announced that its Ather 450 electric scooter passes for subsidy following the FAME II scheme. The subsidy on the flagship offering of the company has increased from Rs 22,000 to Rs 27,000. Which means with the updated subsidy, the on-road Bengaluru prices is now decreased from Rs 1,28,230 to Rs 1,23,230. A 13/36 months lease option is also available with the scooter which will end up paying Rs 2,274-4,220 per month on a monthly or quarterly basis.

Ather Energy said in a statement:

Ather will be extending their existing FAME 1 certified 450 customers’ comprehensive warranty to 3 years from the existing 2 years. The gesture re-emphasises Ather’s intent of ensuring a delightful ownership experience to consumers. All Ather 450s certified under FAME 2 will come with the 3-year comprehensive warranty as mandated along with the company's “Make in India” battery pack.

Moreover, the Indian electric scooter manufacturer Arther now aims to introduce the Arther 450 and 340 in Chennai. The company has plans to introduce themselves over 30 cities of India in the next couple of years. The company will set up public charging infrastructure throughout the city, just like they did in Bengaluru. The company says that these charging stations will be free to use for the next six months. Moreover, these charging stations will be set-up at consumer-friendly places like cafes, malls, tech-parks, gyms, etc. Both the scooters the Arther 450 and Arther 340 will be made available for the people in Chennai at a price tag of Rs 1.13 Lakh and INR 1.28 Lakh.  Arther has also announced a strategic tie-up with Godrej Nature’s Basket for the expansion of charging network throughout the country. The electric scooter has done wonders for the company in Bengaluru, mainly the Arther 450 which gets sold out till September 2019. The “Pre-Order Interest” option on the company’s website gives buyers priority deliveries, early access to book the Ather 450 & Ather 340 and invitations to exclusive events and test rides.
