2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 finally launched at Rs 1.09 lakh
Suzuki has finally launched an updated version of their 150cc faired bike, the Gixxer SF. The all-new 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 is priced at Rs 1,09,870 (ex-showroom Delhi). This time the Gixxer SF 155 gets some major cosmetical upgrades for MY2019. The bike now gets a full-LED headlight that looks similar to that of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. Moreover, the cockpit has also undergone serious modifications. The motorcycle now features a revised instrument console. The white backlit display has replaced the orange colour from its predecessor and, the side indicator has been repositioned to rest on the top. The upper part of the screen is hired by the tachometer while the odometer, trip meters and the clock occupy the lower part of the display.
The bike now gets a full-LED headlight that looks similar to that of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250.
The ergonomics of the bike has also been revised. Steering duties are now done by clip-on style handlebars. The bike looks sporty with the inclusion of split-seat setup. The bike rolls on the same 17-inch alloy wheels and tubeless tyres (100/70-17 front and 140/60-17R rear) which are equipped in the previous model of the bike. Moreover, the bike also gets a single-channel ABS instead of a dual-channel ABS. The Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 will take on the likes of the Yamaha Fazer 2.0 and the Hero Xtreme 200S.
Suzuki has also strengthened the frame on the new bike with a thicker centre tube.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 is powered by a 155 cc air-cooled engine that churns out respective power and torque outputs of 13.9 Bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm 6,000 rpm. Compared to the previous model, this one gets a slight drop in power output (14.6 Bhp vs 13.9 Bhp now). The motorcycle tips the scales at 146 kg, which is around 5 kg heavier than the previous Gixxer version. The new Gixxer SF 155 gets a fuel-injected unit and, it comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Moreover, Suzuki has also strengthened the frame on the new bike with a thicker centre tube. The suspension setup is also the same - conventional telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the back.
