The Kawasaki W800 is the only modern-classic bike in the company’s line-up which competes with the likes of Triumph Street Twin. The motorcycle enters the country through SKD (semi-knocked Down) route.

The Kawasaki W800 is the only modern-classic bike in the company’s line-up which competes with the likes of Triumph Street Twin. The motorcycle enters the country through SKD (semi-knocked Down) route. In terms of design, this bike is a replica of the Kawasaki W1 that was retailed during the 60s. The Kawasaki W800 gets a round LED headlamp, Assist and Slipper Clutch, twin-pod instrument cluster, single-piece seat with ribbed pattern, round mirrors, twin exhaust pipes and some premium chrome elements. Mated to a 6-speed transmission, Kawasaki W800 gets propelled by an air-cooled, vertical-twin, 773cc motor which churns out power and torque outputs of 52 Ps and 62.9 Nm.

The Kawasaki W800 carries a price tag of Rs 7,99,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike gets a 320 mm disc brake at the front and a 270 mm disc brake at the rear along with a dual-channel ABS for enhanced braking. Moreover, W800 is only offered in a single colour shade namely- Metallic Flat Spark Black/ Metallic Matt Graphite Grey. Suspension duties are done by telescopic front forks and twin shocks with spring preload adjustability at the back.
