Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 125 will be similar like classic Pulsar 150
From the past few weeks, we are getting rumours regarding the launch of 125cc Bajaj Pulsar in India. A recent report by Autocar India suggests that the upcoming 125cc Pulsar will look very much similar to the classic 150cc Pulsar. We expect the Bajaj Pulsar 125 to launch by August 2019. The two-wheeler company is also giving hints in regular interval of time about the upcoming Pulsar bike which is still in the making. The sales volume of two-wheeler in this segment has faced a major downfall and also the brands due to the introduction of strict emission norms (addition of CBS and ABS) and expensive insurance costs. Moreover, the upcoming BS-VI emission norms will be a misery for automobile manufacturers in the near future. That's why Bajaj is planning to roll out motorcycles with smaller capacity engines.

Previously Bajaj Auto sells a 125cc Pulsar in the European market which looks identical to the discontinued Pulsar LS135. The bike gets propelled by an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-valve, twin-spark, 124.45cc motor. To meet against the European emission standards Bajaj offers the LS135 only with Fuel injection system instead of a carbureted engine. The European Pulsar NS125 develops power and torque outputs of 12 Ps and 10.8 Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed gearbox. The Indian-spec Pulsar 125 is expected to produce the same power figures but, the bike will come as a carburated unit at initial stages. But the Bajaj Auto needs to shift towards the fuel-injection tech to meet the upcoming strict emission norms.
We expect that forthcoming Bajaj Pulsar 125 will be priced at Rs 60,000 to Rs 62,000.
The upcoming 125cc Bajaj Pulsar will not only help the brand to offer a capable bike at a price point close to the Discover but also it can become the best selling bike in its segment. We expect that forthcoming Bajaj Pulsar 125 will be priced at Rs 60,000 to Rs 62,000. Stay tuned to Bikespyaar for more such updates from the Indian biking world.
