The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS has discontinued its feature-loaded scooter Jupiter Grande. Moreover, the company has now employed the premium features of Jupiter Grande in the ZX variant of the standard scooter. The all-new updated Jupiter ZX will now compete against the likes of Honda Activa 5G. The feature loaded TVS Jupiter ZX is priced at Rs 56,093 for the drum brake variant and Rs 58,645 for the disc brake variant. The TVS Jupiter ZX features a semi-digital instrument console, LED headlight, adjustable rear suspension and chrome inserts on the rearview mirror, (available only for the disc brake variants). But, the scooter doesn't get cross-stitched seats along with diamond-cut alloy wheels. Moreover, the scooter entire lacks chrome highlights which were employed on the body of the Jupiter Grande. The engine specifications of the scooter stills remain the same. It is powered by a 109.7, air-cooled, OHC unit which develops 8 Bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 8 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a CVT. Braking duties are done by a 130 mm drum braked at the front and rear. A front disc brake is being offered as an option. The scooter also gets the combi-braking system as standard for added safety.

The shock absorption jobs are done by telescopic forks at the front, along with an adjustable suspension at the rear. The TVS Jupiter ZX is offered in two colour options namely Starlight Blue and Royal Wine. New reports suggest that TVS is also working on new-gen Jupiter which will come loaded with new features and a BS6 compliant motor. Honda is planning to introduce next-gen connectivity in Activa and, we expect the same feature to get launched with the all-new Jupiter. The BS-VI compliant TVS Jupiter will launch by early 2020.
