Suzuki Burgman Street spotted in an all-new Matte Black colour

15/07/2019 |Suzuki Burgman Street
Suzuki will soon launch the all-new Matte Black colour scheme for its 125cc commuter scooter, the Suzuki Burgman Street. The automatic scooter has been priced at Rs 69,208 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Suzuki India is now planning to introduce new Matte Black colour for Burgman Street. Suzuki launched this scooter into the Indian market back in June 2018. Suzuki has sold over 90,000 units of Burgman Street till now. These new images of the matte black coloured scooter are shared by BikeAdvice, and we expect these units must be parked in a dealers stockyard. For now, the scooter is sold across the country in three unique colours namely Grey Glass, Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matt Fibroin and Sparkle Black. The main reason behind offering new Matte colour shade with the scooter is to increase its sales, which is stabilised at 6,000 units.

The Suzuki Burgman Street derives power from the same air-cooled, 124cc, SOHC motor which develops 8.7 Ps and 10.2 Nm. There's no sticker of the fuel-injection system on the body, so we expect the scooter will get retailed in the carburated version for now. The BSVI ready Burgman Street will arrive in our markets soon. The scooter comes loaded with features like Suzuki easy start system, LED headlamp, LED position lamp, front pocket, DC socket and glove box. Moreover, the scooter employs a fully-digital instrument cluster along with disc brakes upfront. The scooter has an under-seat storage capacity of 21.5-litre. The scooter looks bulky, but it has a kerb weight of as low as 108 kg.

The all-new Matte Black colour shade is expected to fall in the same price bracket.

This means the Suzuki Burgman Street is around 1 kg lighter than the Honda Grazia. In fact, it's a whopping 8.1 kg lighter than the TVS Ntorq. The scooter stands 160mm above the ground. The 125cc scooter has been priced at Rs 69,208 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Moreover, the all-new Matte Black paint option is expected to fall in the same price bracket. The Burgman Street competes against the likes of Honda Activa 125, TVS Ntorq, Honda Grazia and Suzuki Access 125.
