Hero Has no plans to launch the 620cc Hastur in India

Indian bike maker has no plans to launch its 620cc Hastur concept in Indian anytime soon.

Hero Hastur is a 620cc concept motorcycle which was showcased by the company at the 2014 Auto Expo. But, the company has no plans to launch the Hastur concept in India anytime soon. Mr Sanjay Bhan, Head of Sales and After Sales at Hero MotoCorp said: "We will be launching some bikes with engine capacity above 150cc to 400cc in coming years."

 He also said that their focus has shifted to the ‘premium’ segment motorcycles for now. The statements by Mr Sanjay clearly tells that Hero has no plans to launch the Hastur 620 in the upcoming 3-4 years. 
The biggest question is why was the Hastur concept showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo if the company has no plans to launch the motorcycle anytime soon?
The reason must be to show the customers and its competitors that the company has the vision to launch big motorcycles.

Hero Motocorp is also planning to launch a 200cc motorcycle which is codenamed as the Hero HX250R. The bike was revealed by the company at the 2014 Auto Expo. We may expect this new-fully faired machine will replace Karizma in company's portfolio. Hero HX250R will share motor, design and underpinnings from the Extreme 200R.  The bike gets an aerodynamic design language which gets a sporty wing mirrors and blacked-out windshield along with an under-seat exhaust. The bike will on 17-inch alloy wheels covered with Pirelli Sport Demon tyres. Braking duties are done by a 300mm disc up front along with a 220mm disc brake at the rear. The smart looking brake callipers were created by the popular Italian brand Brembo. The Hero HX250R will also feature ABS as standard for some added safety.front angle profile of the bike

The Hero HX250R wil replace the aged Karizma in company's portfolio 

The motorcycle is expected to get powered by a 199.6cc petrol motor which will churn out respective power and torque outputs of 18.4 PS and 17.1 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine is efficient enough to provide a mileage of 51.79 kmpl. And the motorcycle can touch a top speed of 114 kmph.
