22/08/2019 |Suzuki Hayabusa
From Uber to making popcorn, here are 5 crazy things which superbike owners in India are famous for.

The craze of owning and riding superbikes in India has been getting quite popular for some time now. Superbikes in India are now affordable to purchase and maintain as big bike companies have been officially entering our country one after the other. Moreover, the used superbike market is welcoming a lot of enthusiasts by offering them their dream bikes for practically half of the cost. With numerous superbikes around the country, a few crazy stories are expected to crop up. Here are five such instances that owners have done with their superbikes in India.

1) Racing Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R with BMW M3 sportscar on highway

After viewing this video, one may feel like they are watching a small clip right out of a Fast and Furious movie. The video was uploaded by a Youtuber named Vlogs with PK, and it shows a BMW M3 sports car chased by a group of super bikes. As you can see, the M3 cutting through highway traffic in quite a dangerous fashion right in between massive trucks and cars. This video of the speeding BMW sports car was recorded by a rider who was on a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. The rider of the bike flashes a hand signal indicating is intent to race with the car. Afterwards, the deadly game of immediate braking, rash swerving and unexpected acceleration bursts begin. Even the slightest idea these foolish races on a busy highway can be dangerous for the bike rider and also for other road users. Always ride sensibly and carefully because these machines are a ticking time bomb in the hands of foolish and inexperienced riders.

2) Riding Suzuki Hayabusa at 300 km/h on Indian roads

The roads and infrastructure of India has developed a lot compared to the past. However, we are still far from the road quality and infrastructure offered to road users in foreign countries. Although sports cars and superbikes are quite easy to spot these days, there are a few rare videos on the internet where we actually see the owners of these performance machines doing the kind of speeds they are actually capable of. Achieving the top speed of a vehicle on the Indian roads is quite tough but superbikes are highly capable of doing extraordinary speeds on even narrow stretches of roads. Always remember that now exercising caution while riding these machines on our roads and highways can be very dangerous. The best alternative is to visit a race track whenever possible, where you can get a controlled environment and proper assistance.

3) Taking Suzuki Hayabusa to Spiti and Ladakh

If you are a true motorcycle enthusiast, then you must dream of one day visiting Spiti and Ladakh on your own pride and joy. You must have seen many people visiting these tough terrains on their SUVs and Royal Enfield bikes. There are also a few riders who visit these places on performance-oriented machines like the Yamaha R15 or KTM Duke. Then there are some passionate riders who prefer taking their superbikes to counter these challenging terrains. The YouTube video below shows a motovlogger taking his Suzuki Hayabusa to conquer the highly dangerous Leh-Ladakh trip. What he faces there are also the reasons why you shouldn't be doing this on your INR 10 lakh plus superbike, including tackling water crossing, filthy roads and other natural risks. The Leh-Ladakh route is the toughest motorable road in the country and taking a superbike over there is highly risky because it’s quite tough to manage these high-end bikes at such places.

4) Suzuki Hayabusa used as Uber taxi

In the past, you must have watched videos which show sportscars used as an Uber ride to amaze the customers and capture their reactions. In the video below, you can see that a vlogger got an idea that superbikes are no less and he registers himself as an Uber rider. Afterwards, he took out his bike to pick up anonymous rides. Needless to say, the customers were very surprised as they were expecting a 100-150cc commuter motorcycle and then find out that their ride for the day is 1300cc Suzuki Hayabusa. The first rider got to know that the owner is a YouTuber and he's making content for a prank video. The video is more entertaining than dangerous, as no one expected a superbike as his Uber bike instead of a commuter motorcycle.

5) Using Superbike as a Popcorn machine

The superbike owners in India, who also run a YouTube channel, are quite crazy about generating unique content and doing all sorts of experiments with their motorcycles. So, this is the last one on our list and probably the most entertaining. In the video, you can see that a Suzuki Hayabusa is being used to make popcorn and we can bet that this 'Busa is the most expensive popcorn machine in India. The owner of this bike put unpopped corn into the exhaust and revved it for a while. Afterwards, you see the smoky popcorn starting to jump out of the Akrapovic exhaust canister. In our opinion, this is the best alternative for a motorcycle enthusiast to cook popcorn in any situation.
