First Jawa 42 in India to get modified with an altered exhaust
The main reasons behind why people buy a Royal Enfield motorcycle are classic looks and a loud exhaust note, which the bike produces with an aftermarket exhaust. Recently, a new video has surfaced over the internet which shows the newly launched Jawa 42 getting its exhaust pipe altered. The main reason behind this modification is to make the Jawa 42 a bit louder like the Royal Enfield. The owner of the Jawa 42 has recorded the whole process of modification.
Removing DB killers from your Jawa bike can kill warranty of the motorcycles.
The video shows that it's very easy for a Jawa owner to modify his Jawa 42 or 300 with the help of some basic tools. The exhaust gets a DB killer in both the pipes which can be removed or re-positioned for a bassier and thrumpy exhaust note. Car and bike modifications are illegal in India but removing DB killers from your Jawa motorcycle won't attract the law enforcement officials as there are no visual changes on the outside. Moreover, the bike makes a bassier and soothing sound rather than producing an irritating loud noise. But, do remember removing the DB killer/exhaust baffles can void the warranty of your Jawa 42/Classic 300.
Both the Jawa models are getting very popular among India buyers. Currently, both the Jawa bikes have been sold out for the upcoming months. Waiting period for both the motorcycles is now more than four months. The Jawa 42 and Classic 300 generate power from a 293cc, four-stroke single cylinder unit which puts out 27 bhp of power and 28Nm of peak torque. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel with the help of a 6-speed manual gearbox. Suspension duties are done by a telescopic front fork and twin, gas charged rear shock absorbers. Both the Jawa machines are priced at Rs 1.55 to Rs 1.64 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. The company will also launch the Jawa Perak Bobber which is the most affordable Bobber in the country. We can expect the Perak Bobber to hit the Indian shores by the end of this year. And it will be priced at Rs Rs. 1.89 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.
