Cops Reward Bikers with Movie Tickets for Following Rules

31/07/2019
The traffic police in Hyderabad and Pune is now rewarding movie tickets and 50% discount coupons to the traffic rule followers.

It's usual for the traffic police in India to put penalties and fines on the rule-breakers but the people who follow and respects traffic rules seldom receive any kind of appreciation. Now, however, the traffic police authorities from different states have initiated a reward program for the commuters who follow the rules. The traffic police in Hyderabad has shortlisted 45 regular commuters who haven't violated any traffic rules for a long time now. The commissioner of police, Anjani Kumar rewarded these guys with free movie tickets as a token of appreciation. The tickets have been sponsored by PVR cinemas.

Moreover, the Hyderabad police force is now adopting some advanced solutions to catch law offenders on public roads. The traffic police department is now using methods like CCTV cameras, radar systems and more to track down the offenders and impose hefty fines on them. There have been some cases in the past where several car owners have been fined up to Rs 50,000 for frequent breaking of traffic rules. Granting rewards to the law followers will surely give them some recognition and, it will also motivate others to follow the traffic rules. Earlier this year, even the traffic police of Pune rewarded the law-abiding commuters with discount coupons of Zomato and Swiggy.

The drive started by Pune police caused everyday commuters to show a lot of eagerness on the roads. The rewards offered by the traffic police encourage motorists to follow the traffic rules. India faces the highest number of road accidents every year and some of them even cause loss of life. We think such initiatives by the traffic police forces can motivate all road users to start having a higher respect for the law and order.
