2019 Suzuki Gixxer launched in India at Rs 1 lakh

The Japaese bike maker has launched the 2019 version of the street naked Suzuki Gixxer 150. The bike employs some serious cosmetical updates.

A few weeks back, Japanese bikemaker Suzuki launched the updated version of the fully-faired Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 in India. Now, the company has launched the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 150 at a price tag of Rs 1,00,212 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Moreover, Suzuki has also launched the Gixxer SF250 in India and promises to launch the street-naked 250cc model of the bike, too. The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 150 features new looking LED headlamp cluster, revised instrument panel and also a new LED taillight. The 2019 Gixxer looks quite different from the previous-gen model.

The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF 150 share components like a split seat, alloy wheels and fuel tank. Moreover, some of the components remain the same from the previous-gen model. The 2019 Gixxer model is Rs 12,000 more expensive than its predecessor. The all-new Gixxer gets the same fully-digital instrument cluster and chrome-tipped dual-barrel exhaust like the 2019 Gixxer SF.

The all-new Gixxer gets the same fully-digital instrument cluster and chrome-tipped dual-barrel exhaust like the 2019 Gixxer SF.

The updated 2019 Suzuki Gixxer derives power from a single-cylinder, SOHC, 4-valve, air-cooled, fuel-injected, 155cc motor with SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) technology. The engine develops 14 hp of power at 8000rpm and 14 Nm of twisting force at 6,000 rpm. Braking duties are done by a disc brake at the front and rear along with as standard single-channel ABS for added safety. The newly launched Suzuki Gixxer competes against the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Yamaha FZ-S. For more updates from the Indian biking, world stay tuned to Bikespyaar.
